

A message from the new owner of Precision Colors
Hello Precision Colors Customers-
My name is Matt, and I’m the new owner of Precision Colors. I recently purchased the business from Mike in March, having been a customer myself for over six years. I’m excited to take Precision Colors into its next phase.
I’ve put together a list of FAQs that I have been getting from customers regarding the transition to answer any questions you may have. Feel free to reach out if your question is not answered.
I want to make it clear that, as the new owner, we're not looking to ruin a good thing. Mike built an incredible business with a loyal customer base but he and his wife were looking to retire and both Mike and myself want the Precision Colors legacy to continue on.
In these first few months we won't change much of anything. I'm looking to learn a lot about the business and its customers. If you'd like to introduce yourself, drop me an email.
Some things that are likely to change, eventually, include branding, a new website, customer communication (for those that want it), and community engagement. Formulations will not change (unless our raw materials become unavailable in which case we'll communicate that to you).
Precision Colors is not my first business. My wife and I own a e-commerce sock company called No Cold Feet which is where we started using Precision Colors inks. I'm a huge fan of small businesses and the unique value they bring to the world. I want to continue that here with Precision Colors.
If you have an outstanding order—first of all, thank you! As previously noted on the website, shipping was paused starting around March 14 and is set to resume on March 28. We experienced a delay at customs due to new tariffs, and our inventory and equipment took some extra time to arrive. As of March 31 we have resumed manufacturing and shipping. If all components of your product are in stock, we are shipping as fast as we can. If we are waiting on raw materials and your order is affected, we’ll contact you about your order.
If you are placing a new order, those should ship in 1-2 weeks assuming all products/components are in stock.
For our Canadian customers: Please check the FAQs regarding the evolving tariff situation. We are now shipping from the U.S. so there may be additional duties. We will be in touch and appreciate your patience as we navigate these new tariffs and work toward a long-term solution. Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions.
