Experienced refillers know that the best cartridges to use are Canon OEM cartridges. These provide the highest quality construction that aftermarket carts totally fail to match. Only genuine Canon cartridges contains the precise mechanical springs within the cartridge to meter the ink along with the mixing paddles within that will allow the printer to function properly by agitating the ink internally during use.
Under no circumstances should users attempt to use NON OEM tanks on the ImagePrograf300. Also if purchasing USED or claimed to be refurbished tanks, be very careful as well. If an OEM tank is left open to dry, it is near impossible to refurbish. Some will try and sell them but if they have had dried ink not removed completely, the eventual cost could be clogged nozzles. If you acquire used Canon OEM tanks be SURE, and I stress SURE to make sure that they are in perfect condition.
My recommendation is to acquire NEW tanks and bite the bullet. At least you KNOW that the tanks you are dealing with are in good condition.
