Finally a dye ink printer that produces rich vibrant colors and amazing B&W photos! The Pro-100 the Canon dye equivalent of the Epson K3 pigment system! Vibrant colors and excellent shadow detail unseen before in an economical dye ink printer.
All CLI-42 colors used in this printer are dye inks.
After having nearly 5 year run on the previous inkset which the market currently still regards as being the best aftermarket ink available for the Pro-100. We elected to to improve it even further. We changed the inks to provide even better OEM matching than before. Video Here. Was I concerned that I would be placed side by side next to OEM? Not at all. I continually did similar testing to tune the colors during development. This type of side to side comparisons is never done with Pro-100 refill inks for a reason.
Seriously. We also during this time took our time to test and obtain the most durable aftermarket dyes available. Some inks are substantially more costly to acquire and produce but we elected to specify it because we wanted to simply produce the BEST AFTERMARKET INK for the Pro-100 at pretty much any cost. That simply means you are getting the BEST there is in the world short of the real Canon Ink. Period.
This inkset took about two years to come together and we evaluated as much as 1500 prints to determine what each color was doing to the total image noting that compromises had to be made.
So in May 2019 we introduce the Signature Edition inkset for the Pro-100 by Precision Colors.
This is simply the NEW REFILL REFERENCE for the Pro-100 and we think quite confidently nothing available from anywhere else comes close. The inkset is ideal for the beginner who knows little about the details of printing yet has so much color performance that even professionals will appreciate what it provides. Couple the inkset with the largest list of Custom ICC profiles at no charge and there is really no other logical alternative.
