Collection: Sublimation Ink

These inks are for Epson printers that have been set up for sublimation printing: 4-color models such as WorkForce, C-series and EcoTank printers, and 6- and 8-color Epson photo printers.

Do not use them in Canon printers.

Buy one color for each ink position in your printer.

• 4-color printers: Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black.
• 6-color printers: add Light Cyan and Light Magenta. If your printer has a Gray position, such as the EcoTank ET-8550 / ET-8500, use Gray there.
• 8-color printers: add Light Black and Light Light Black.
• Our Black goes in any Black, Photo Black or Matte Black position.

We recommend starting with a printer that has never had regular ink in it. Leftover ink in the lines mixes with the sublimation ink and can throw off your colors until it is fully purged.

Once a printer is set up for sublimation, keep it for sublimation only.

EcoTank printers fill straight from the bottle into the tanks. Cartridge printers need empty refillable cartridges made for your model. We carry a limited range, and they are also sold elsewhere. Most Epson cartridges need to be primed before the first print.

To fill, use a Squeezy cap or a syringe and needle:

• 2 oz bottles: the #20 Squeezy Cap System. The 2 oz bottle does not come with a refill cap.
• 4 oz, 8 oz and 16 oz bottles: the #24 Squeezy Cap System.
• Syringe and dispensing needle: use a clean syringe for each color.

One 2 oz bottle can give as many as 8 refills, depending on the size of your cartridges. The larger bottles cost less per ounce.

Print your design onto sublimation paper, then heat press it onto polyester fabric or a sublimation-coated blank such as a mug, metal panel, tile or coaster. Follow the time and temperature from your paper and blank makers.

Not at this time. Our free ICC profiles are made for our photo inks. For sublimation, use the profile or settings recommended by your sublimation paper maker.
