We ship ink and supplies from Northbrook, Illinois to Canada and to customers around the world. This guide explains every shipping option we offer, what it costs, how long it takes, and exactly who pays duties and taxes, so there are no surprises when your package arrives.

Which Option Should I Choose?
- Lowest total cost, nothing to pay at the door (Canada): Economy. Duties and taxes are already included. It is our slowest option, so order a little early.
- A balance of cost and speed (Canada): Standard (USPS). Faster than Economy. Canada Post collects GST/HST and its handling fee when it delivers.
- Fastest, and you are fine paying import charges on delivery: Express.
- Fastest, with nothing to pay at the door (Canada): Express (duties & taxes included).

A note for our Canadian customers: Precision Colors started in Toronto, and Canadian printers have been with us from the beginning. Shipping across the border costs more than it used to, so we built these options to keep your total cost as low as we can, including options where duties and taxes are paid up front.
Shipping to Other Countries
We group countries into two shipping zones. Your price depends on your zone and the weight of your order.
UK & Europe: United Kingdom, Ireland, Austria, Belgium, Czechia, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland.
Rest of World: Australia, New Zealand, Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Israel, United Arab Emirates.

Duties and taxes on international orders are paid by you when the package arrives. They are not included in your order total. The amount depends on your country (for example, VAT in the UK and EU is around 20% of the order value), and the delivering carrier may add a handling or brokerage fee. Your local customs office can give you an estimate before you order.

Duties and Taxes, Explained
"Duties & taxes included"
We pay the import duties and taxes for you, and they are built into the shipping price you see at checkout. The carrier will not ask you for any money on delivery.
"Collected on delivery"
The import charges are billed to you by the delivering carrier, usually before or at delivery. What you pay depends on who delivers:
- Canada Post (our Standard option to Canada): GST/HST on the value of your order, any duty that applies, and Canada Post's handling fee of C$9.95. Orders valued at C$20 or less are not charged duty or tax.
- UPS, FedEx or DHL (Express options): duties, taxes, and the carrier's brokerage fee for clearing your package through customs. Brokerage fees vary by carrier and order value.
Whether duty applies depends on the products in your order and where each one was made, so we cannot promise duty-free entry. You will still owe GST/HST on options where taxes are collected on delivery.
What if I refuse to pay the import charges?
If import charges are refused, the carrier returns the package to us. Contact us and we will work out next steps with you. To avoid this entirely, choose an option with duties and taxes included.
Processing Time and Tracking
Processing. Orders are processed and shipped within 2 to 3 business days. The delivery times above start when your order ships.
Tracking. Every option includes tracking, and you will get an email with your tracking number as soon as your shipping label is created. With Economy and Standard, updates can be sparse once your package crosses the border and is handed to your local postal service. That is normal, and your package is still on its way.
Your phone number. Customs and international carriers require a phone number for every international shipment. If the carrier cannot reach you, your package may be held at customs.
Frequently Asked Questions
Which option is cheapest for Canada once duties and taxes are counted?
Usually Economy. Its price already includes duties and taxes, while Standard and Express add GST/HST plus a handling or brokerage fee on delivery.
Why is Standard (USPS) not available on heavier Canadian orders?
USPS's lower-cost international service stops at 4 lb. Above that, Economy or Express is both cheaper and faster than the next USPS service up.
Can you include duties and taxes on orders outside Canada?
Not yet. Import taxes in the UK, EU and elsewhere vary too much to build into a flat shipping price, so for now they are collected on delivery. We are working on it.
Why did my tracking stop updating?
With Economy and Standard, tracking often slows down once your package is handed to your local postal service. If you have not seen an update in 10 business days, contact us and we will check on it.
Can I get my order faster than Express?
Possibly. Contact us before ordering and we will look at what is available to your address.
My country is not listed. Can you still ship to me?
In many cases, yes. Contact us with your country and what you would like to order, and we will get you a quote.
