Collection: Epson Artisan 1430 Ink Refill

Our T079 inks are dye based, a six color set: Black, Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Light Cyan and Light Magenta.

The Stylus Photo 1400 and the Artisan 1430 use the same T079 cartridges, so these inks work in both printers.

Our refillable T079 cartridges have fill ports built in, so nothing needs to be drilled or modified. Fill each cartridge with a syringe, or straight from the bottle with a cap and needle.

New empty cartridges need priming before first use. The priming tip attaches to a syringe and draws ink through the cartridge outlet so it prints cleanly from the first page. Prefilled cartridges are ready to install.

No. Our cartridges use auto-reset chips. When the printer reports a cartridge empty, refill it, then remove and reinstall it and the chip reads full again.

Removing a cartridge before the printer flags it empty will not reset the chip. Install our cartridges as a complete set of six.

Yes. We offer free custom ICC profiles for the Artisan 1430 with our inks, covering papers from Red River, Epson, Ilford, Canon, Kirkland and Staples.

Every profile is made in-house with Argyll CMS and an X-Rite i1Pro2 spectrophotometer. Use Relative Colorimetric rendering intent. Each download includes lighting variants for different viewing conditions, and the listing shows the paper setting to use in the Epson driver.

Find them on the Artisan 1430 ICC profiles page.

Yes. When one cartridge shows empty, refill it right away and top up the other five at the same time.

Level estimates are not always exact, and a cartridge that runs dry can harm the printhead. Topping up does not reset a chip, only the empty warning does.

Most often the chip is not making good contact. Reseat the cartridge firmly. In rare cases a chip may need to be replaced.

After any refill, print a nozzle check before you print photos to confirm every channel is flowing.
