Low Ink Warning System

About this product
About this product
The Precision Colors Low Ink Warning System tells you when an ink tank is running low on a Canon imagePROGRAF PRO-1000 or PRO-1100.
When you refill, you turn off the printer's ink level monitoring, so the printer can no longer warn you before a tank runs dry. This system takes over that job. A sensor on each of the 12 tanks watches the ink level, and its light on the board comes on when that tank needs a top-off.
It works with any ink, ours or Canon's. Designed in house at Precision Colors; this is the second version.
In the box
- Left and right circuit boards, each in a 3D-printed frame with adhesive backing for mounting on the printer
- 12 ink level sensors, one per tank
- 12 adhesive pads for attaching the sensors to the tanks
- Two-wire cable that connects the two boards
- USB power cable
Not included: a USB wall adapter. Any standard USB adapter you already own will power it.
Compatible printers: Canon imagePROGRAF PRO-1000 and PRO-1100.
Starting fresh on a PRO-1000? The PRO-1000 Low Ink Warning System Starter Kits include the system, a full set of ink and the refill tools.
Storage & Handling
Storage & Handling
Store inks tightly capped and upright, at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and heat. Properly stored, sealed bottles can last for years. Use a clean syringe for each color to avoid cross contamination, and wipe up any drips with a damp paper towel. Use a cleaner with ammonia (e.g. Windex) to clean tough drips or spills.
Accessories like resetters and clips need no special care beyond keeping them clean and dry.
Keep all inks and refill tools out of reach of children and pets. Not for any use other than printer refilling.
“I discovered Precision Colors early in my printing career, and they quickly proved to be the best I had tested. They’ve lived up to that reputation ever since.”
